CampCEO Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Where will the camp take place?

A.   All classroom activities, unless otherwise specified in the daily agenda, will occur in ADM/Scovill Hall, 1184 West Main St., Decatur, IL.  Campers will stay on the Campus of Millikin University in Blackburn Hall.  Details of Blackburn Hall and a floor plan are available at www.millikin.edu/housing .

Q. How do I get to the camp?

A. For driving directions to the camp, the following options are available:  Use MapQuest or go to www.millikin.edu/visit/maps.asp .  The Millikin website also includes a map of the campus as well as a map of Decatur. Campers may also contact Millikin Entrepreneurship Center at 217.424.6296.

Q. How should I dress for camp?

A. Please keep in mind when packing for the week that most activities will be conducted in professional offices. Casual attire consists of appropriate shorts, pants/khakis, jeans, shirts and t-shirts. No short shorts, no cutoffs, no over-exposing clothing, no midriffs, no halter tops, no tank tops and no inappropriate graphic t-shirts. Please bring comfortable (running/tennis) shoes for Casual attire days.

  • Monday: Casual attire (afternoon) and Business attire (evening)
  • Tuesday: Business Causal: Khaki's, Collared shirt
  • Wednesday: Business Casual attire - Khaki's and Camp Polo
  • Thursday: Business Casual attire (afternoon) Casual attire (evening)
  • Friday: Business Casual: Khakis and Camp Polo (provided)

Q. What do I need to bring to CampCEO?

A. Items to bring:

  • Alarm clock
  • Pillow
  • Blanket
  • Toiletries
  • Pajamas
  • Bath Towel/Wash Cloth
  • Padlock (for lockable storage in the residence hall room)
  • Daily change of clothing according to the dress code
  • Shoes (Running/tennis shoes recommended)
  • Backpack
  • Calculator
  • Swimsuit and towel
  • Sunscreen and hat
  • Bug repellent
  • Khaki pants and CampCEO Polo (provided)
  • Key Chain

Personal electronics (cd players, mp3 players, gaming devices, notebook computers) are the responsibility of the camper. These items can only be used during specific times at the residence halls and will not be allowed during instructional sessions, field trips and/or site visits. Electronic items must be left in the camper's room during the day and are not the responsibility of the Millikin University Entrepreneurship Center or its staff. The Millikin University Entrepreneurship Center or Millikin University are not responsible for damage or theft of personal property. Also campers do not need to bring large amounts of cash, all meals, snacks, drinks and necessary equipment will be provided.
